What do I need to do when my renter returns my van?

The Van Owner Field Guide walks you through the return process. Within 48 hours, fill out your Return Form, found in your Van Owner Field Guide. Note if the renter added any additional hours or accrued any toll fees, and record the mileage and fuel level. You’ll also do a final walkthrough of the van and note any damages. Take photos of the van as directed on the Return Form. If there are damages to the van, damages to your supplies, or missing items, let the renter know and report this information to GoCamp on the Return Form.


Because your renter’s security deposit is released soon after the return of the van, it’s important to submit the Return Form within 48 hours of the van’s return to ensure that charges can be accurately deducted from the deposit. Even if there are no additional fees for mileage, tolls, extra hours, or damages, we still need the Return Form so we know we can proceed with processing your payout.
