What is included in the driver verification?

We (or a third party on our behalf) verify all drivers to ensure they meet minimum requirements as described in the GoCamp Terms of Service. Driver verifications include identity verification, driving history check, and criminal background check.

Your license must be valid throughout the duration of your rental. You must start your driver verification within 72 hours of completing your booking. Failure to start your driver verification in a timely manner may result in the standard cancellation policy being applied.

If you fail the driver verification and completed your verification within the 72-hour period, you will not be able to drive the van, your booking will be canceled, and and you will be eligible for a full refund. If you fail the driver verification and completed your verification after the 72-hour period, the standard cancellation policy is applied.

If you fail the driver verification and another driver who passes the driver verification is going on your trip, the booking can be changed to their name. All additional drivers must go through, and pass, the driver verification. A valid driver’s license must be presented by all drivers when you pick up the vehicle.

You must be at least 25 years of age to rent a GoCamp van. Occasionally van owners will make an exception to this rule for responsible young adults with clean driving records. We reserve the right to cancel any booking made by renters under the age of 25 who didn’t first receive explicit permission to book.
